It started with one man's dream.
In 1989, Mike Kampsen set out to fulfill his father's dream. He invited Johnny Cash to Regal, Minnesota to perform alongside his father and for the local farmers who built this community. Cash came. And during that unforgettable visit, the Man in Black himself renamed the event from "Regal Fest" to "Cornstalk Fest."
What began as one family's dream quickly became a tradition rooted in music, family, faith, and community.
Now, nearly 40 years later, we are honored to bring Cornstalk back to life. This revival is about far more than entertainment. It is about healing, bringing people together, honoring tradition, and creating memories that last for generations.
In a world where genuine connection matters more than ever, Cornstalk is a place where families reunite, friendships are formed, stories are shared, and music reminds us all of what matters most.
